ProLifeToday recently took part in the City Canal Cleanup in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, working in cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC). This community effort, which has been supported in the past by Vice Admiral Robert N. Patrimonio, PCG (Ret), brought together civic organizations, local residents, and Coast Guard personnel in a shared mission to protect and restore the barangay’s waterways.

The activity focused on ensuring the continuous flow of water through the canal system by removing debris, declogging blocked passages, and collecting accumulated garbage. These actions are vital in preventing flooding, improving sanitation, and maintaining the canal as a functional lifeline for the surrounding community.

By joining this initiative, ProLifeToday reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship and community resilience. The cleanup not only improved the physical condition of the canal but also strengthened cooperation between local stakeholders, government agencies, and volunteers — proving that lasting change is possible when people work together for the common good.
